The other night I went to a treat swap and I wanted mine to have a little extra cuteness, so I bagged each cookie and stamped the 'Love' stamp and punched it out and tied it with bakers twine.
Here are all of them in the heart basket I took them in.
What is your favorite kind of cookie? These are my favorite to make: Oatmeal Chocolate Chip. Love them! I tell myself they are good for me because of the oatmeal. ;)

Most of the supplies here are from the Occasions Catalog. There is just so much wonderful goodness in there! I wish I had days on end to create and not worry about things like homework and dinner.
I think my DH will like this card. :) I hope you have a very Happy Valentine's Day with your significant other.

Easter
I put up my Easter decorations last week. This year I just feel like they are jumbled and don't look great. (Probably partially due to me not wanting to take the time necessary to make them look just so). But more than that, I think it is because they mostly consist of bunnies, eggs, and chicks.
They lack the true reason we celebrate Easter.
Jesus Christ
I decided to make my own subway art to print and put up in my living room for my boys, my husband and myself to see everyday until Easter. It has been a marvelous experience as I have been able to reflect on my Savior by thinking of words to use to describe Him, His sacrifice and resurrection. I am so grateful for Jesus Christ. For all he has done for me and for you. I am humbled when I think of his love and how he cares about each one of us, no matter how beautiful (or not), rich (or not), smart or talented . He loves us for who we are right now and who we can become. He sees our divine potential. It is my wish that we will each strive everyday to reach that potential. I love this quote:
"I never said it would be easy, I only said it would be worth it."
So let's take time this Easter season to remember the One who sacrificed and made it possible for us to be resurrected someday. He broke the chains of death. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:55, 57)
I want to share the subway art with you. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do and that it brings you closer to the Savior.
It is 8x10.

It's Been Awhile...
My poor blog.
Life has been *crazy* and I have had to let some things go to get other more pressing things taken care of. Sadly, my blog fits in the first category. :( But I do have a card to post today. :)
This card I made for my Brother in Law's birthday.
I needed to make this card in a quick hurry. So the layout is simple, but I think it turned out pretty well for being in a time crunch.
The back of the background paper had stars on it, so I punched 3 out and mounted them on the other circles with a pop dot.
Thanks for stopping by!
Have a creative day!! :)
Supplies:
Cardstock: DCWV
Patterned Paper: Rusty Pickle
Ribbon: Pebbles in My Pocket
Punches: Stampin Up!, EK Success

ColourQ Challenge #167
Hard to believe that time passes so quickly! I am thrilled to be back this week at the ColourQ!
Here are the colors:
And here is my creation:
I made a gift bag for my son's teachers for their Christmas present. I wanted them to love the outside of the gift as much as the inside! I got this idea to use a small paper bag in between two pieces of cardstock from a friend a few years ago. It is such a useful project! (It is a bit hard to see in the pictures, but there is a small white paper sack that I trimmed the top off to fit between the cardstock and not be seen). I slipped the gift inside the bag. I am giving earrings this year and they are some of my favorite new trendy kind! :) They fit perfectly inside this gift bag.
I colored with Sage Shadow, Lucky Limeade and Real Red. I thought the bakers twine added a fun touch to the punched holly.
Here is the back:

Angry Bird Takeover!!
It's my baby's birthday today! I seriously cannot believe he is three! Time flies when I'm not pregnant!
He loves many things, so narrowing down a theme was difficult. He uses my Kindle more than I do! What does he play: Angry Birds!
How a 2 year old know how to play Angry Birds is beyond me, but he knows and he is pretty good at it too!
These ideas are not my own. I found some very talented ladies who posted these ideas on their blogs. I was so happy for their inspiration! (See below for the next link).
Here is the card I made for him:
The inside:
(Please forgive the rudimentary shading, I was in a hurry!)
As I was searching for an idea for this card, I came across these darling favor boxes that I knew I just had to make!
Here are mine:
I had to make lots:
The whole table, cake, card, favors and all...
I know the party will be FaNtAsTiC!!
Have a creative day!
