Another week, another set of ColourQ colors!
Here are the colors this week:
Here is my card:
And a close up of the fringed 'grass':
The swirl stamp I thought represented wind well with the kite. Just like a cool, breezy spring day.
Today was a rough day in the trenches of motherhood. I have been questioning why I even got out of bed today. I clashed with my 12 year old on several subjects and my two year old created a lake in my kitchen using the fridge door water dispenser and an empty soda bottle as vehicles to drench himself and my kitchen. I had to pull the fridge and oven out to get all the water wiped up. It was not pleasant. I was glad that I could take refuge and make a card today after the 'dust' had settled and relieve some of the stress.
I love to know what you think, so please leave a comment. :) Thanks for looking! Have a creative day!

ColourQ Challenge #125
Hello!! It has been a busy couple of weeks. We just got our basement bathroom finished! I was painting last week and didn't have time to make a card.
Yesterday was my birthday. Even though I lament being another year older, I had a FaNtAsTiClY, wOnDeRfUl day! My husband even gave me a card!
My sister got be the ornament in this picture, and also the Breaking Dawn DVD, which I have long been anticipating!
So, this week I needed to make a birthday card for my hubby for his birthday next week. The colors in this weeks ColourQ Challenge were perfect for it!
These are great colors!
Here is my card:
First, the closed picture:
Then open. I made a Tri-Shutter Card. You can find the tutorial for this type of card at www.splitcoaststampers.com The center section of big dots in where I plan to write a message to him and have my boys and myself sign it.
I made this collage of up close pictures of the different aspects of the card, if you want to see them more distinctly:

As you can see from the card, my hubby has a milestone birthday coming up! I hope his birthday is as wonderful as mine was (and for the record, I am younger than he is) ;)Thanks for looking! I love your comments!! Have a creative day! :)

ColourQ Challenge #122
Hooray it's February! I love this month! Valentine's Day, lots of family birthdays (and mine!), the Superbowl, etc. It's a fabulous month! :)
Here are the colors for this week's ColourQ Challenge:
They are very Valentine-y :)
I wanted to make a Valentine with the new set P.S. I Love You and matching punch I got from my Stampin Up! party. So here is my card:
I love the hidden hearts in the intricate cutouts and I added the bling for a little something extra. It's a bit hard to see but the heart is embossed with a swirl pattern.
As always, I love to know what you think! Have a creative day!
I hope you enjoy the Superbowl even if you just watch for the commercials like me! :)

Cardstock: Stampin Up!, other
Embossing Plate: Stampin Up!
Cuttlebug, Cricut and cartridges: Provo Craft
