What a week! I have been very sick. I could barely get out of bed Friday to go to the doctor to see what was going on. You may think I am crazy, but I was so happy to learn I have a sinus infection! Hooray for antibiotics! Saturday I felt somewhat better and I was able to do a few more things, other than just lay in bed all day. :) You may have noticed I redesigned my blog background. I also took some time to make a card for this week's ColourQ challenge.
Here are the colors:
At first, I wasn't sure I was even going to tackle these colors. This was a definite challenge! But I am so happy I did! Here is my card:
I decided to play around in Photoshop Elements and see what I could create for this hybrid card. I started messing around with gradients and I made a gradient out of this week's colors! I realize that is probably not a big deal to some of you PS experts out there, but for me, it was pretty cool!
I didn't stop there. After creating the gradient, I used the cookie cutter tool to 'cut' shapes out of the gradient to then layer on the card. Then I created a sentiment for the center. I am so happy with the results! (And for inspiration in the fog of a bad head cold!) I hope you enjoy this card as much as I do! TFL! Have a creative day!
Supplies:
Photoshop Elements: Adobe
Cuttlebug: Provo Craft
Embossing Folder: Stampin Up!
Punches: EK Success, Fiskars, Marvy Uchida
Ribbon: Purchased at Tai Pan Trading
