ColourQ Challenge #149

Hello again!

I was SO excited to see that this week the colors included the new Stampin Up! In Colors!  I got mine awhile ago and have been waiting for a chance to use them.  This was my excuse!  Here are the colors:

So great aren't they!  They always do a fab job of picking great colors over at the ColourQ

Here is my card using those fun new colors:

Here is a close up of the fun part of the card:

I used the chevron embossing folder and cut it to layer for the background.  I then thought how cute it would be with arrows to echo the points on the chevron and the Party This Way stamp.  Throw in a party hat and some astericks and you've got a birthday card!

ColourQ Challenge #148

Hello!  It's August!  That is good. :)  I got my kiddos registered for school yesterday.  Can't wait!  We have also been glued to the Olympics!  I just love watching swimming and gymnastics.  It is so amazing to see people acheive greatness.  :)  I did have a break in the action this week to create a card for the ColourQ.  Here are the colors:

Such great Summer-y colors!

Here is the card:

I just LOVE the felt flower.  I think it is so fun!  I added the embossed flowers to the bottom for a little something extra.  I really like how they look on the card.  I used a stamp set I've owned for years, but underutilize.  It was fun to play with it again!
