Hello everyone! I hope you are enjoying your summer. I just can't get over how busy this summer has been!
Here are the colors for this week Challenge #89:
And here is my card:
I sincerely hope I am not breaking any copyright laws by using Calvin on my card. I made this for my adult nephew's birthday. He is a graphics artist and I thought he would find this comic amusing. Since Calvin is talking about connecting the dots, I went with a dot theme on the card. I embossed the arrows and Bravo Burgandy with dots and used the EK Success dot punch on the Cajin Craze. After I punched the Cajin Craze, I then punched out dots in the various colors and glued them behind to add more color and interest to the punched border. The Bordering Blue is embossed with a happy birthday Cuttlebug embossing folder (it is hard to see in the picture). I hope he likes this card!
I hope you like it too! Leave your wonderful, appreciated comments below!
Supplies: Cardstock: Stampin Up!, Cactus Pink, other; Punches: EK Success, Fiskars; Embossing: Cuttlebug & embossing folders; Stamp: Studio G; Comic: Calvin and Hobbes from the book Homicidal Psycho Jungle Cat
I used Adobe Photoshop to crop the scan of the comic.
I hope you have a fabulous weekend and be sure to give the Father's in your life an extra hug!
