I put up my Easter decorations last week.  This year I just feel like they are jumbled and don't look great.  (Probably partially due to me not wanting to take the time necessary to make them look just so). But more than that, I think it is because they mostly consist of bunnies, eggs, and chicks.

They lack the true reason we celebrate Easter.

Jesus Christ

I decided to make my own subway art to print and put up in my living room for my boys, my husband and myself to see everyday until Easter.  It has been a marvelous experience as I have been able to reflect on my Savior by thinking of words to use to describe Him, His sacrifice and resurrection. I am so grateful for Jesus Christ.  For all he has done for me and for you.  I am humbled when I think of his love and how he cares about each one of us, no matter how beautiful (or not), rich (or not), smart or talented .  He loves us for who we are right now and who we can become.  He sees our divine potential.  It is my wish that we will each strive everyday to reach that potential.  I love this quote:

"I never said it would be easy, I only said it would be worth it."

So let's take time this Easter season to remember the One who sacrificed and made it possible for us to be resurrected someday. He broke the chains of death. death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:55, 57)

I want to share the subway art with you.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I do and that it brings you closer to the Savior.

It is 8x10.
